Roland Tings, Melbourne's jack-track anomaly with a penchant for acid coastlines and nebulous rhythms, is back with his latest single 'Hedonist'. No stranger to the fabric of Melbourne's late-night institutions, Roland will be officially launching the single on Saturday 19th December at Howler.

Fresh off a North American tour with AlunaGeorge, including a few special Future Classic showcases alongside Classixx, Sophie, Cyril Hahn & Basenji, Roland is set to bring his hypnotic groove-inducing set back to his hometown for this special single launch. Roland's latest single follows up on his debut self-titled full-length album, released earlier this year to critical acclaim from media and fans alike. Roland Tings cemented the Melbourne native's ability to create club-ready oddities with neon finesse, earning a solid 8/10 from international tastemaker XLR8R and being awarded triple j's album of the week.

Drawing inspiration from natural sounds, 'Hedonist' is based around a bunch of samples recorded during a hike in Mt. Buffalo National Park. According to Roland, the track aims to capture this experience, reflecting "the open meadow, the rushing cold water thru the scorching hot Australian alpine bush, huge moths circling the top of the mountain at sunset, gravel crunching under feet".
