The Canberra Vocal & Dance scene has been craving something fresh, dynamic and something that they can really sink their teeth into. Canberra welcomes both local and interstate vocalists and dancers from an eclectic mix of styles and genres to go head to head at a new and innovative competition. Roar Skills All Skills Performing Arts Competition and Showcases will be a one-night event at Sundown on Saturday 29 October 2016.

Held for the first time, the objective of Roar Skills is to inspire collaboration between local performing artists of all styles, skill sets and ages. The event is designed specifically to be a melting pot for ore inspiring collaborations between professional institutions, businesses, education and street performers. These industries fuse to create innovative pieces to perform either in front of a select judging panel or as non-competitive showcases.

Some of the support we have so far within the community is from;
- Tobias Cole - Countertenor, Conductor. Distinguished Artist in Residence ANU School of Music;
- Ethan Hart - Child Entrepreneur - Yo Funky Dance Festival;
- Bobby Farqhar " Founder & Director, The National Acting School
- Glen Todd " Actor & Dancer
- Carissa Meyer Acrobatics, Yoga & Dance Instructor
- Marco Selorio " CEO MAS Presents

Through the ROAR Skills initiative, a broad spectrum of youth have the chance to advertise their skills, see what other artists are doing, be a part of an active and interactive performance culture, and learn from exposure to different artists, styles and genres.

This event is an all ages, community event. Drug and alcohol free. We support the #OnePunchCanKill Campaign.
