Peter Farnan, founding member of Boom Crash Opera - and before that, post punk pioneers Serious Young Insects is launching his new video, Time.

Time is smart, agile art pop; an aesthetic that Peter has carried forward since his Serious Young Insect days. His songs twist and turn with humour, melody, touching emotion and occasional noisy outbursts, which can be heard across three solo albums, the latest titled Home. His collaborators along the way have included Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers, Rebecca Barnard and Deborah Conway. The Home Bodies feature Megan Bernard (ace guitarist/songwriter from Liz Stringer’s band) and producer Kal Tonuma (28 Days, Bodyjar, Termper Trap, Hunters and Collectors and many more).

Support comes from Mark Sinton, Northern Irish born singer songwriter. Like Peter, Mark has a ‘history’ with the big bad music business, both here and overseas. Mark’s songs are expressive and finely crafted. He will be performing solo, stripped back selections from his back catalogue and works in progress.

This will be a night of mighty songwriting and entertaining stage chatter. One punter in Ararat described Peter’s show as ‘intensely personal and hilarious.’ If Peter can make it there he can make it anywhere.
