Brunswick Ballroom celebrates a new series 'Resonate' supported by the Moreland City Council presenting accessible shows which are free entry or priced $10 and under.

Izy and guests  bring you the next instalment of the Family Jams series in the City of Moreland, bringing the best of Melbourne's diverse, original live music scene to kids aged 0-10 and their elders.

Izy (pronounced eye-zee), are perhaps Far North Queensland’s first neo-soul export. Ryo, Warrigo and Maru, each a part of musical families from different continents, connected in the distant north of Queensland; three young men who became brothers playing music together.

Relocating to Melbourne in 2019, Izy play slinky, futuristic soul music with raw old-soul sensibilities. No computers, pulling in all the influences from Prince to D’Angelo to Alabama Shakes. An incontrovertible quality of dedication, honesty and diversity is clear; an undeniable positive energy that  surges through their presence on stage.

Hearts and Rockets is the Naarm-based bratwave / post-punk duo of Kalindy Williams and Kurt Eckardt. In late 2021, they released their EP TV is Boring on cassette. The EP follows their 2019 LP Power and 2017 album Dead Beats, and four 7” releases including splits with Shrimpwitch, Zig Zag and Piss Factory. These tracks, alongside the band’s digital singles sees their output surpass 40 officially released original tracks across their short career. Hearts and Rockets are not only known for their tongue-in-cheek stabs at society, and their cheeky pop culture references, but also for their clever self-produced video clips.

Family Jams is presented by Riot Baby and Charlie Woods, and is part of Resonate. Resonate is part of On the Road Again, a Victorian Government initiative to bring live music back across the state.

**Please be aware that this is a live music event and volume levels will be moderate - we keep levels at a low decibel range but do suggest looking into kids' ear muffs if there is any concern. We recommend something like this**
