Oh Hello! presents
Millions "Cruel" EP Launch @ Oh Hello!
Brisbane's gentlemanly garage-popsters Millions are proud to announce "Cruel", their brand new 4-track EP released Friday 16th November, celebrating the release with a special hometown show in Brisbane at Cobra Kai @ Oh Hello!
Produced by Malcolm Besley (from Northeast Party House) and mixed by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes' "Is This It"), the EP features current triple j smash "Nineteen", as well as three further entries in Millions' rapidly expanding set of swoonsome guitar anthems.
Genuinely excited about getting to work with Millions on this release, American producer Gordon Raphael enthused
"Their approach to the sound is huge, imaginative, and not afraid to shine. Millions are very much capable of creating amazing lyrical songs that have as high a level of interest and power as any true music fan could crave. I can't wait to hear more from them."
"Cruel" follows hot on the heels of July's debut 5-tracker "Nine Lives, Six Degrees", which spawned the radio smashes "Slow Burner", "Guru" and "Those Girls".
The Queensland boys' film clip for "Nineteen" is currently the public-voted Channel [V] Ripe Clip Of The Week. The band also this week finish off a 16-date run supporting Melbourne's Oh Mercy, which has seen reviewers heap praise upon the Millions live show - the AU Review calling them "a handsome, stylishly-matching band with a mature, defined sound to boot."
Millions will head out on their own national tour in November to launch the "Cruel" EP, before ringing in 2013 with performances at the Falls Festival in Victoria and Tasmania as well as the Southbound Festival in WA.
