MARK SEYMOUR & THE UNDERTOW

ANNOUNCE SLOW DAWN TOUR

Following a protracted Red Hot Summer tour in 2022 (fire, flood and plague anyone?) with Hunters & Collectors, Mark Seymour and his solo band The Undertow are ready to tour Australia and take on promotion of his latest solo album, ‘Slow Dawn’ again.

With a jam-packed schedule, Mark & The Undertow will take up a spot on the acclaimed Red Hot Summer 2023 tour alongside Paul Kelly, Bernard Fanning, Missy Higgins, Vika & Linda, Ian Moss and Troy Cassar-Daley.

Mark Seymour’s 10th solo studio album, ‘Slow Dawn’, is out now and produced by Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Powderfinger). ‘Slow Dawn’, is the fourth to be credited to Mark Seymour & The Undertow. Mark has now released more solo albums than he has with Hunters & Collectors.

Mark says of ‘Slow Dawn’….“There are stories we tell our children as they drift into sleep,” “Stories we invent to explain the impossible, and others we carry with us all our lives. Stories of fear, love and light.”

The media responses to ‘Slow Dawn’ reinforces Mark Seymour position as one of Australia’s finest & most beloved storytellers.

“Slow Dawn is like the Great Australian Novel. Filed with mystery and intrigue and images you’ll never forget. Mark Seymour has always dreamed big. And with Slow Dawn, he obviously set out to make a great album. Album of the year? Without a doubt. ” – STACK

“Arguably the finest album of Seymour’s storied career. With Slow Dawn, he has crafted a classic”– Rhythms

The Undertow are:

Mark Seymour – Vocals & Guitar

Cameron McKenzie – Guitar

Peter ‘Maz’ Maslen - Drums

John Favaro – Bass Guitar
