LUCIDBLOOM bring their swirling and dynamic melancholic dream pop to the Gallery Bar at Oxford Art Factory, 30 May. LUCIDBLOOM will release their debut EP CALAMITY immersed in light and billowing smoke for a lushly layered and hypnotic live show that will lure you in and set your heart on fire. Supported by pulsating shoegazers ADORER and tape-deck alt rock from The Postcards. Visuals on the night will be provided by SIRCUIT.

Limited edition CALAMITY vinyls will be for sale at the launch.

Born from rekindled friendships after years spent living and creating across the globe, LUCIDBLOOM’s debut EP is a cinematic dreamscape of darkness and light, ignited from a collective consciousness of fires, floods and impending calamity. LUCIDBLOOM draw from a pool of countless influences and creative projects from the five members, from dark electronic pop to nostalgic 90s shoegaze and post-rock, to contemporary acapella choir projects. The result is a brooding, dynamic and organic sound, described by The Underground Stage as “complex and rich, multi-layered and thoughtful.”

With songs that dip, swirl and rise to the rafters, LUCIDBLOOM layer delicate harmonies with foreboding lyricism that balance mystery, beauty and unease. Coupled with an unmistakable pop sensibility, their first body of work, a 6 track EP ‘CALAMITY,’ will catch you like a wave, before breaking gently on the peaks of the unexpected.
