For twenty four years, Libby Hammer has been bringing her engaging and affable style of jazz to stages all around the Perth jazz circuit. Whether she's being comic or poignant, or executing the occasional burst of virtuosic scat, Libby's renditions of well-known (and not-so-well-known) jazz standards never fail to delight. Tonight she is set to soar with her very own and much-beloved quartet comprising Chris Foster on piano, Nick Abbey on double bass and Michael Perkins on drums. This group shows Libby at her artistic finest, interpreting standards and obscure gems alike with aplomb and emotional finesse. Likewise, her band will swing to the absolute limits of their cookin’ best. Come and enjoy some simply great jazz.
