The Sunday Session of Local and Live takes over King Lear’s Throne with KRAVE Single Launch 'Puppets'


King Lear’s Throne in the Brisbane music precinct of Fortitude Valley is much more than your average dive bar tucked away on Anne Street. The laid back atmosphere of this alternative venue allows you to take advantage of the huge array of beers and cocktails on offer. King Lear’s Throne has added a brand new room that is dedicated for live music.


MMK Music Promotions is excited to launch its first Sunday session of Local & Live with plenty on this line up for even the most discerning live music lover!!


Venues and artists have taken a huge hit with the ongoing covid restrictions and now’s the time to get out and support your local music industry by joining us when the doors open at 4.00pm for a cold beverage and a super serving of Brisbane’s world-class live music.


Brisbane’s very own alt metal / hard rock trio KRAVE are back in the Valley and releasing their new single ‘Puppet’ at a King Lear’s Throne at a Local and Live session that will be truly epic. KRAVE will headline a five band line-up that showcases some of the most exciting bands coming out of the red-rot Brisbane music scene right now including: Skunkbone, Passion Cactus, Shores, and Saint Skirts.

Skunkbone comprises three killer musicians who have cut their teeth in the Brisbane music scene.   Flavoured by the likes of Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Seether, Stone Temple Pilots and Smashing Pumpkins, Skunkbone provides an addictive mixture of honest lyrics, earworm melodies, driving guitar, and thick and juicy bass tones, with a high energy that will leave you itching for more.

Brisbane Based alternative rock with powerful vocals and shredding guitar and solid rhythm section. Working on their original song writing, the band counts among their influences Powderfinger, Megadeath, AC/CD, Guns and Roses, 9 inch nails and Led Zeppelin. The band delivers a high energetic performance and delivers music to your ears that resonates with the music from some of the greats.Guitarist Jacob "I love the older stuff. I cut my roots as a blues guitarist really so Hendrix and Zeppelin was big influences on me "Jacko Front man "I used to ride bulls for a few years until I got my farrier apprenticeship,, but after the knees went and I needed surgery I couldn't work so I started singing. "

SHORES are a fresh young 4 piece out of Brisbane’s hotbed music scene that have followed the great Aussie music pathway of suburban garage to hectic stage. SHORES sound is equal parts sunny beaches and millennial angst, with the boys drawing from multiple sources of inspiration to create a groovy yet powerful sound.

Brisbane duo Ailish & Natalie came onto the Brisbane music scene in 2019 and are well known for the heartfelt story-telling lyrics and beautiful harmonies of their live performances. Best friends Natalie and Ailish have a connection that resonates through their music. With influences ranging from Taylor Swift to Fleetwood Mac to Julia Michaels, Saint Skirts music is a perfect mix of indie pop with an acoustic folk twist.
