KINGS & QUEENS
Before embarking on their new adventure in the UK, Kings and Queens will be playing one last show at the favourite spot ‘Duke of George’ celebrating the release of their latest single “When the Ships Come Sailing In”
Weaving effortless Celtic infused harmonies with rich Appalachian inspired guitar, Kings and Queens create a unique sound which is both raw and haunting. After a year which has seen them playing at Fairbridge Festival, Nanga Festival and supporting folk duo Edgelarks and Americana legend Justin Townes Earle, the Freo duo have established themselves as one of Australia's busiest and exciting folk duos.
Walking the line between traditional British Folk and Americana, Kings and Queens will take you on a journey through life, death and the journey in between.
Celebrating the launch of their next single “When The Ships Come Sailing In”, the song is a fragile and breathtaking story of forgiveness and redemption, and is the story of our eventual journey into the afterlife. The song, which was recorded at Norman Solander Studios, will be part of their second album (a follow up to 2017’s self titled release) which is scheduled for release towards the end of next year.
This will be the duos last Perth show before moving to the UK in which they hope to take their songs and stories across Europe.
