Frontier Touring are excited to announce J Mascis – guitarist, singer, songwriter and integral member of legendary alternative rock group Dinosaur Jr. – will perform two exclusive solo Australian headline shows in February 2024.


Whilst down under in February for a series of headline shows with Dinosaur Jr. celebrating 30 years of their history-making album, Where You Been, J Mascis will also perform solo shows in Sydney on Tuesday 20 February at Liberty Hall and in Brisbane on Saturday 24 February at The Triffid.

With a long-standing musical career spanning more than 40 years, J Mascis has long been performing as part of history-making band Dinosaur Jr. Currently on the road with the band to celebrate thirty years of their sixth studio album Where You Been - the award-winning project which fans hold dear to their hearts -  belting out these hits thirty years later has received mass praise from critics and fans with the band proving their presence will never fade.

J Mascis’ talent holds no boundaries with his equal success as a solo artist with hits such as ‘Fade Into You’‘Me Again’ and ‘See You At The Movies’, as well as recently released single ‘Can’t Believe We’re Here’. Recently announcing the upcoming release of his fifth solo album What Do We Do Now out February 2 via Sub Pop, the release is J’s first solo album that features full drum and electric leads, as well as guest musicians including Western Mass local Ken Mauri of The B-52s on keys and Ontario-based polymath Matthew “Doc” Dunn on steel guitar. 


Fans are in for a treat as the man behind forty years of alt-rock hits will take to the stage to perform tracks from the What Do We Do Now project for the very first time.
