Wellington-based quintet Hip-Town Bangers present Art Blakey’s blues-soaked classic album ‘The Big Beat’. Since their inception in 2013, Hip-Town Bangers have been entertaining audiences around the city through their mutual love of hard bop music, and having a good time with friends. Hip-Town have performed many "classic albums live" in the Wellington Jazz Festival including Kind Of Blue, The Sidewinder, and Blue Train, as well as performing their own original music.
