This New Year’s steer away from the overdone tropes of years past and head down the alleyway for two stages of head-banging goodness this NYE with Headliners Young Lions and Headwreck! Is there a better place to get your new year’s kiss than up-front at the Garage Stage? Didn’t think so. 

Emerging from the ashes of past local projects in the inner suburbs of Brisbane, Young Lions serve their listeners up anthemic alt-rock reminiscent of 2000’s era 30 Seconds to Mars and Coldplay. The four-piece has spent the last couple of years honing their signature sound on the road with bands like Shihad, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Dead Love and Hands Like Houses which all gained traction after the release of their concept album ‘Mr. Spaceman.’

Joining Young Lions are fellow headliners Headwreck. Hailing from Brisbane’s southside, Headwreck are a collective of four like-minded musicians creating their own unique blend of heavy music for their audience. Following the successful release of their debut EP ‘Glamorise Demise’ Headwreck have been creating mosh pits everywhere they go. Rounding out the rest of your NYE lineup are The Comfort, Trust, Sentiment, Tragic Me, Grizzlyshark, Empire Within, Two Times Shy and Jaga.
