Event Details

Gareth Liddiard's solo album Strange Tourist was released last October. The album and the shows that followed left audiences enthralled. Songs like wrecking balls bookended with hilarious observations and repartee prompted one critic to note, "the genuine applause that follows each song is a fitting tribute to an artistic genius."

In March, Gareth heads out on a national tour, taking his solo show to Hobart and Canberra for the first time, and revisiting the cities he played on his last sold out run. Special guest support Dan Kelly will play songs from 2010's ' Dan Kelly's Dream'. Armed with only an electric guitar,  an ancient sound effect machine and heaps of very funny stories, Dan delivers a  crowd interactive treat of a show.

Two of the countrys favourite singer-songwriters, raw and stripped back, for one night in your town/ city (or for two if you live in Melbourne).

Gareth has pressed off a limited run of double gatefold vinyl editions of Strange Tourist for all the collectors out there, these will be available at shows or from http://www.garethliddiard.com/

"The genuine applause that follows each song is a fitting tribute to an artistic genius." Inpress

"Gareth Liddiard is a novelist who just doesn't know it yet; a writer for whom landscapes, both internal and external, provide the grit and soul for a kind of visceral storytelling that absolutely no one else is matching at the moment." The Vine

"Good on him for stepping up to the plate. Fucking good on him." Mess and Noise

"Two plus hours of brilliance." Inpress
