Hot on the heels of her latest US Grammy and Guild of Music Supervisors Awards nominations, Latin Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno will return to Australia in celebration of her new EP, X Mí (Vol. 1).

In this special solo show - one of only two exclusive shows on this tour - Moreno presents her collection of rich and soulful acoustic songs that have remained dear to her heart over the years, which she will sing in both English and Spanish.

Anyone who has experienced Moreno’s live performances will have been awestruck by her ability to create music that offers an intoxicating invitation into her musical world for English and Spanish speakers alike.

Since moving to Los Angeles from her native Guatemala, this trailblazer has released seven albums, earned a Grammy nomination for her albums Alegoría (Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album, 2023) and Illusión (Best Latin Pop Album, 2017), and won a Latin Grammy (Best New Artist, 2013).

Now in high-demand as a singer-songwriter and producer, during her 2022 trip to Australia, Moreno co-wrote and recorded the song Por Qué te Vas” for the Academy Award nominated film Puss In Boots: The Last Wish (starring Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Florence Pugh and Olivia Colman).

She also recently featured on Guillermo Del Toros Cabinet of Curiosities.

Moreno has shared the international stage with pop music luminaries such as Bono, Andrea Bocelli, Tracy Chapman, Ani DiFranco, Punch Brothers, Hugh Laurie, Buena Vista Social Club, Calexico, David Gray and many more.

The new EP features the song Luna De Xelajú, a duet with Golden Globe winning actor Oscar Isaac, for which the two friends have filmed a striking music video, soon to be released. The collaboration sees the two artists coming together to celebrate their shared roots, honouring their beloved country of Guatemala and their families, through a combined love for music.
