EDGE RADIO IS TURNING 22 AND IS SET TO TAKE OVER ALTAR BAR THIS NOVEMBER TO CELEBRATE!

Come join your favourite Edge Radio presenters and volunteers alongside a line up of incredible Tassie bands on Saturday 15 November 2025 to celebrate the station’s 22nd birthday and annual fundraiser!

Edge Radio is an independent, non-profit community youth radio station in nipaluna/Hobart that provides an alternative voice for lutruwita/Tasmania and beyond. As a community station, Edge Radio is powered and funded by people, not government and corporations; that’s why they’re a radio less ordinary! And why the station plays such an integral role in the cultural landscape in lutruwita/Tasmania.

The party will see a selection of some of niplauna/Hobart’s finest acts take over Altar Bar. Check out the post punk sounds of TEENS; the gorgeous experimental pop world of Q.E., breaking norms and gracing empowerment is the art pop world of Baltimöre Charlót and the Experience; and stick around for the psychedelic power trio that is Spooky Eyes.

Proceeds from ticket sales will help keep Edge Radio on air and ensure the ongoing operation of the station; allowing them to continue bringing you alternative sounds, voices and ideas - making your world a more diverse and wonderful place!

Level access is available from 112 Murray Street via the black and white laneway leading to the Garden. There is one accessible toilet. There is braille signage and tactile ground surface indicators throughout the venue.
