After taking home their second ARIA Award forBest Heavy/Hard Rock Release last week, Brisbane thrashers DZ DEATHRAYS will hit the road again. The two-peice have announced a huge national tour to kick off 2015, taking in intimate venues across Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth Bunbury, Fremantle, Sydney and Brisbane during February/March, with very special guests Bass Drum Of Death (US) and Hockey Dad coming along for the ride. Tickets on sale 9am Thursday 4 December.

Not only that, but DZ Deathrays can also reveal that they, along with Bass Drum Of Death and Hockey Dad, are the the first to be announced for the2015 Farmer & The Owl Festival happening in Wollongong on Saturday 14 March, more acts soon to be announced.

Released in May of this year via I Oh You (Aus) and Infectious (UK), their second full-length Black Rathas seen the band reach nothing but new heights, touring the album extensively across UK, Europe, America and New Zealand, sharing stages with the likes Band Of Skulls, Die! Die! Die!, Slaves, The Orwells, Blood Red Shoes, and showcasing at SXSW and Reading & Leeds Festivals. Locally 2014 has seen them on an album tour from coast-to-coast packing out venues, and hitting festival stages such as Big Day Out, The Blurst Of Times, Secret Garden Festival.

The band's current radio banger 'Gina Works At Hearts' taken from ARIA Award-winning Black Rat shows a more glamorous and pop-driven edge of the band; taking their cathartic yelps, driving drums and thrashing riffs and providing their biggest and boldest sound to date.

In 2012, DZ's toured North America in support of Mississippi garage rockers Bass Drum of Death, and ever since have been working on getting this tour together for Australia. They met the Hockey Dad crew in Wollongong on our their last national tour, and couldn't wait to put both acts on a bill and hit the road together again.

The 'Get Rich or Drunk Tryin' tour will be the some of the final Black Rat album shows for DZ Deathrays. Catch them in Melbourne at the Northcote Social Club on February 27 & 28, Fowlers in Adelaide on March 5, Amplifier in Perth on March 6, Prince of Wales in Bunbury on March 7, Newport Hotel in Fremantle on March 8, Newtown Social Club in Sydney on March 11 & 12, The Brightside in Brisbane on March 13 and Farmer & The Owl Festival in Wollongong on March 14.
