Catherine Summers and her 5-piece swinging jazz band bring you the songs and stories of the Queen of Jazz, Ella Fitzgerald. 

Enjoy a night with Perth’s own Jazz Songstress, Catherine Summers and her dazzling Quintet. Summers’ presents a host of toe-tapping Ella favourites, from her nursery rhyme first no. 1 hit to classic songs from her Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter songbooks.

Spirited singer Catherine Summers delivers emotive performances of Ella’s well-known classics around titbits of history from Ella Fitzgerald’s incredible career. Hear about Ella’s early life in Harlem on the streets, her painful shyness, a lucky chance encounter with Marilyn Monroe to becoming the first African American women to win a Grammy.
