Please join Adelaide University's Big Band 1 (directed by Dusty Cox) and the Generations in Jazz Academy Big Band (directed by Graeme Lyall) at the Gov, Wednesday, 29 August.

Big Band 1 is the first Australian University ensemble to be awarded an 'Outstanding Performance' award in 2009 by 'DownBeat' (jazz) magazine's international 'Student Music Awards'. This ensemble has a long tradition of excellent musicianship and is better than ever this year.

The Generations in Jazz Academy Big Band is led by Australian Jazz legend Graeme Lyall, a superb saxophonist and composer who is the Director of the Generations in Jazz Academy in Mt. Gambier, the 'brainchild' of multi-instrumentalist and jazz icon James Morrison.
