RODS AND ROCKABILLY FESTIVAL
Kustom Kulture festival in the heart of Brisbane!
The Hamilton Hotel presents the 3rd Annual Rods & Rockabilly Festival featuring live
rockabilly bands, markets, food trucks, kustom art show hot rods, bikes, Miss Rods and Rockabilly pin-up pageant, burlesque by "Samantha Von Siren"
and international guest photographer Shannon Brooke Imagery (USA).
The only festival of its kind in the heart of Brisbane!
In 2016, the Rods and Rockabilly Festival is set to be bigger and better, following the success of the initial festival in 2014. With a focus on supporting and sharing the Australian Rockabilly scene and bands all set to grace the stage, including "Rumblin Wolf" and "The Flyin Saucers" (Melb) and "The Lincolns" (Adel) and Brisbane favourites "The Ten Fours", "West Texas Crude" and "A Band Called Twang".
Also in a festival first, all the way from the USA with the first Australian launch of her book "Girls" is premier pin-up photographer Shannon Brooke, who will be doing signing and judging the pin-up competition on the day.
The Rods and Rockabilly Festival was born from an idea shared between the Hamilton Hotel and enthusiasts who were interested in the sharing their love of scene. Brisbane pinup personality Bettie Butcher is back as MC for the festival and host of the highly anticipated Miss Rods and Rockabilly pinup pageant, one of Australias premier pageants.
A must adventure to will be Artists Alley with a number of local arists, displaying stalls and selling their unique art, as well as the lowbrow art show which includes photographers, pinstriper, airbrushers and more, we even have a panel beater who will be doing a panel work display!
