A wonderful Wednesday night of live music is planned @ Oxford Art Factory on the 20th of July.

Griffin Ford and the Letter Openers will be starting off the night with some poetic rock and roll with Luke Hansen and his 5 piece band playing his enigmatic bluegaze. santpoort will be finishing off the night with his world class lo-fi psychedelic vocal pop.

Santpoort is the lo-fi psychedelic vocal pop and beats project by Dutch, Sydney-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and illustrator Julien Mier. Named after Julien’s hometown, a coastal dune village in the Netherlands, Santpoort touches on homesickness and melancholy with a sense of wonder and a naive child-like curiosity. ocean tales, Julien’s second release on the LA recordlabel Friends of Friends, takes another step into his past while artistically leaping forward. Steel-toned kalimba melodies that glint like sunlight on crystalline waves, poignant piano, resonant bass lines, soulful blues guitar — Julien plays them all to create richer, more layered lo-fi compositions of hip-hop, electronic, ambient, and blissful psych-pop, accenting many with chirping birds and recorded sounds from nature. He also collaborates with musicians like Canadian electronic duo Tennyson and Sydney songstress Little Green, the dewy-eyed lyrics of everyone involved conveying the inherent longing at the center of Julien’s Santpoort project more powerfully than ever before.

At just 23 yrs old fresh off the release of his single "Lament", Luke Hansen's sound and artistry is as formidable as ever with crunchy blues riffs and indie rock psychedelic overtones. "Au Reviews" recent article called his track "Time" "a heady dreamy concoction of electric folk-rock and physch-rock welded together by killer guitars".
