NOMANDLA presents YoungstaCPT from South Africa on his first Australian Tour!

With 27 mixtapes and numerous EPs and accolades under his belt, YoungstaCPT is regarded as one of the most important South African emcees of his generation. Describing his sound as "Kaapstad" you don't want to miss his first Australian Tour.

"If you have ever been to Cape Town you can listen to any one of my CDs and you will understand me and the place I grew up in...I am like your unofficial tour guide.

I am not going to take you to Table Mountain with a cable car, but I will take you via another angle... a side that you have never been to before. I'll give you the other view and perspective of where I am from.

To have so much content around you all the time while growing up in Cape Town, as a result my style is different, my tone is different because the slang that we use is different... I don't sound like any other rapper.

There is a distinct sound that separates me from the rest and I use that to my advantage...that fact that I am a coloured guy from Cape Town.

I use the knowledge that I have acquired over the years, whether it's from the streets or from my family and friends, I incorporate it in my music. I have songs about takkies, how we dress and how we speak.

I am not here to sound like everybody else of to make normal songs... that is not what I am here for."

"For us as the Y?GEN to be traveling to Australia and making my 1st appearance there as a artist is a dream come true. I'm excited to share my music and my culture with the locals and learn as much from the trip as I can. It's a opportunity for me to spread the Cape Town stories and make crowds aware of my people."

Genesis Owusu

Off of the heels of The Ansah Brothers' 2015 release "Polaroid", Genesis currently prepares to unveil his debut solo release "CARDRIVE EP", with a sound distinct from any of his rap peers. The 18 year old has graced stages from local bars to nationally renowned festivals such as Groovin' The Moo, Spilt Milk and St. Jerome's Laneway Festival. Owusu's soulful jazz tones definitely shouldn't fool you into thinking he won't viciously tear apart a microphone with a linguistic banger at any point throughout a set.
