The mighty Whirling Furphies return to The Spotted Mallard for one night only! So, gather up friends and family, make up a table and get along to one of the highlights of the musical year. The lads are in fine form and are warming up all your favourite Furphies songs.

THE WHIRLING FURPHIES

"Frank Jones sings songs about people that walk down the same streets I do, cross the same rivers, drink the same brand of beer. Frank writes locally, which makes him a truly international writer. I know the people in his songs. I know their heartache and heartease." PAUL KELLY An astute man that Paul Kelly!

The Whirling Furphies stormed into the Australian folk scene in the early 90's, along the way recording two seminal albums: Lizard Tree (1990) and Head Over Heels (1995) with Frank Jones' iconic songs standing front and centre.

Furphies shows are pretty rare these days and their annual get-together at The Spotted Mallard is a sensational night.

Port Fairy Festival in 1998 was supposed to be the finale for the Furphies, but eighteen years later they continue to suprise themselves with the pleasure of playing.

Don't miss out on one of the musical highlights of the year!
