We are wrapping up another big year of live music, classes and workshops and all good things creative with one hell of an end of year Christmas party! Featuring a drum circle (of course), and headlined by Juzzie Smith with support from This Way North and Dub Cymatics.

Juzzie Smith is a ridiculously talented One-man band, based in Byron Bay Australia. Juzzie's unique style is bluesy/folk mixed into a groove of its own. Marked by an amazing ability to play up to six instruments at once combining the Guitar, harmonica and juggling percussion. Juzzie Smith has had the honour of performing to both international and national crowds from Byron Bay Blues Festival to Edinburgh Fringe Festival, sharing his raw warm vocals with a simple message of loving life. With over 120 million views on social media and topping the blues iTunes charts around the world Juzzie Smith is an act you won't want to miss.

This Way North

This Way North first met in the north...Canada in fact; at the renowned British Columbian ArtsWells Festival. While hanging at the festival, they discovered that their permanent homes were both north...north-side Melbourne that is...half a world away, but only 500m apart. Once they'd returned to Melbourne, they treated their post-tour blues by doing what all self-respecting musicians do: playing music and what came out was good...really good.
This Way North began as a means of finding a way back... to find direction again, and it damn well worked.

Dub Cymatics Dub Cymatics is fresh out of the Australasian melting pot and built upon utilising the potential of midi-synced live looping. Two independently touring, talented loop musicians, Erin (Erinsphere.com) NZ, and Sid (Sid Berry Music) NSW, link pedals (think Tash Sultana and Ed Sheeran together) and then mix acoustic and electronic instruments (guitar, clarinet, trumpet and violin) with drum samples and beatboxing to create fresh, upbeat, live dance music. Inspired to create conscious atmospheres that are enjoyable and uplifting, in both lyrical and musical content, the contrast between Sid's reggae style and Erin's signature vocal harmonies and leads build dynamic. Springing from a love of live Reggae, Dub and Roots Music, through House/Dance soundscapes and into Drum and Bass, their sound is fresh and evolving, inspired by Australasian influences Shapeshifter, Salmonella Dub, Blue King Brown and The Upbeats, to name a few. With Melbourne based producer and DJ Kayboku (Kayboku.com), and other feature artists onboard for their upcoming EP and subsequent summer tour of New Zealand, these guys are already going places. Shows will be everything from soulful, passionate jams to all-night dance parties featuring cutting edge, original productions.
