THE PSYCHOTIC TURNBUCKLES.. RETURN TO GROOVE ONE MORE TIME.

Fifteen years after they last trod an Australian stage, rock and roll terrorists The Psychotic Turnbuckles are returning for one date only in adopted hometown Sydney.

Upset with the moribund state of the music scene, the Intercontinental Tag Team title line-up of Jesse The Intruder (vocals), The Grand Wizard (guitar), El Sicodelico (guitar), The Psychedelic Unknown (bass) and Gorgeous Karl Domah (drums) will play the The Bald Faced Stag, 345 Parramatta Rd Leichhardt, Sydney on Saturday, December 15.

Support will come from Bad Vibrations (ex-Booby Traps, Crusaders) and Cousin Betty (ex-Lime Spiders.)

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now from moshtix.com.au or i94bar.com for $20 (+ bf) or $25 on the night ( if not sold out)

The Psychotic Turnbuckles first surfaced from their stronghold of Pismo Beach in 1984 to conduct a rampage on the lame excuse for a "rock world" that existed back then.

The square eggs out there never got what the Psychotic Turnbuckles shoved in their pimple infested faces as they delivered colours, high energy and arrogance in equal amounts.

Live, they spread the word right across Australia. The records sold a bucketload all around the world. The hick towns didn't get it. The groovers relished and worshipped the power!........ and swirled out.

The studio recordings were overshadowed by the chaotic live performances, yet in hindsight the records still come across as a true sonic experience.

The Turnbuckles took on all comers at many now lost venues like Caringbah Inn, the Sutherland Royal, The Kamdomah Cafe, the Vulcan Hotel, Strawberry Hills Hotel , Sydney Trade Union Club, Mosman Hotel and The Venue.

Tourists from around the world still pay homage at the supermarkets or carparks that most of these great venues have become.

The Turnbuckles shared stages with - and laid waste to - Dark Carnival , New Christs, Hard Ons, The Troggs, Beasts of Bourbon, You Am i , The Hitmen, and Johnny Teen and the Broken Hearts , Dr Feelgood among many.

The Turnbuckles have laid dormant since a a short one-off reformation in the '90s. Here's your chance to Groove to The Eye one more time.
