Local favourites The Murlocs return here with ‘Space Cadet’, a gem rescued from a Mikey Young (Eddy Current) mixing session largely lost to a laptop thief earlier this year. Sending the boys back to the drawing board to re-record their upcoming album, Space Cadet is a modest offering that packs some very clever R&B guitar muscle and rolls along like a Geelong bound V-line. Ambrose Kenny-Smith’s distinct vocal stamp finely counter-balances this track floating on top with reckless spontaneity.
