Having developed a reputation as one of the most interesting artists around with her unique brand of cello and sample driven folk-pop, Tara Simmons has also become known as somewhat of a studio-fanatic, releasing three EPs and a full-length album in the last few years.
In whats become a familiar story its no surprise that Tara Simmons is already back in the studio working on new material - this time for a yet to be titled side project. More details of this are to be unveiled soon, but for now fans will have to be content with the announcement of a run of shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney throughout June.
The release of new single I Cannot Be Saved will see Simmons take to the stage at Brisbanes Powerhouse every Friday as part of The Residents program where shell be mixing it up each week with shows ranging from solo to full band appearances.
Melbourne will be treated to an intimate solo performance as Tara lends support to Saskia Sansom at the Empress on June 9 and Sydney can expect a headline show with a rare full band appearance where Tara will also be joined by Sydneys own Emma Davis and Melbournes Ainslie Wills at Raval on June 24.
PLEASE NOTE: Raval is an intimate venue with limited seating. Entry is general admission, on a first come, first served basis. If you require seating, please arrive early. Doors open at 7.30pm.
