The Rhythm Hut is very excited to welcome Shaun Kirk for the first time. Fresh from playing local festival Narara Music Festival, this show will be a small, intimate, sit down show, with limited tickets available. Supported by local singer songwriter, Molly Millington, the two acts are both Bluesfest favourites, and are coming to the Hut to play the same small venue together for the first time.

Independent blues/soul troubadour Shaun Kirk has come a long way since his debut release in 2010, earning him accolades such as "one of the most explosive solo acts Australia has to offer" and "one of the finest blues voices this country has ever heard".

Following the recent success of his Australian 'Midnight in Motion' Tour which saw award winning blues/soul troubadour Shaun Kirk selling out numerous headline shows across the country; the one man dynamo has announced a stack of new tour dates across Australia & New Zealand to launch his soon to be released new single 'Howlin at the Moon'.

Kirk's first release in over 3 years will come off the back of what the 29 year old describes as a "quarter-life crisis" ignited by a US Record Deal that fell through in questionable circumstances back in 2015. Determined to overcome his disappointment and grow from it, Kirk has since spent countless hours soul searching and honing his skills as a writer and musician inside his home studio on the outskirts of Melbourne; prevailing with a fresh new sound and groove to carry him into the next phase of his ever evolving career.

Recorded and co-produced with Nick Huggins (Jen Cloher, Fraser A Gorman, Skipping Girl Vinegar) at A Pocket Full of Stones Studios in the sleepy beachside town of Point Lonsdale, Victoria and co written with ARIA Award Winner Joel Quatermain (Eskimo Joe) - 'Howlin at the Moon' is set to drop in early 2018.

MOLLY MILLINGTON
Molly Millington is a prolific singer songwriter fusing country and folk with a little quirky pop to create dark but playful tunes.
Molly's debut EP, Cool Like You, was recorded in 2016 by Shane Nicholson & produced by Trent Crawford.

Molly's new EP, Daddy's Gotta Gun, was recorded in late 2017 by Nick DiDia and is due for release in 2018.

Molly won the 2017 Grommet section of the Bluesfest Busking Competition. Having won over fans and event promoters with her fusion of country and folk and quirky pop, Molly returned to play 2018 Bluesfest on the main stage.

The Rhythm Hut is fully licensed with assorted beers, wines and ciders, including locally made Six String Brewing Company and Murray's Craft Brewing Co beers and Kombucha Zest. Under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
