The game-changing London band broke ground on the global electronic scene, acting as the catalyst to cross electronic production into the mainstream with their debut chart-smashing album Welcome Reality. Picking up a Grammy for Promises, Welcome Reality also spawned unstoppable hits in Me and You, Crush On You and Won't You (Be There). The success of the band was undeniable, and their live show became the must-have addition to every festival line-up the world over; seeing them headline the iconic stages of Coachella, Tomorrowland and Glastonbury, as well as closer to home on Future Music Festival, Stereosonic and Big Day Out.

Although often pigeonholed as 'dubstep', the NERO sound is much broader. "People talk about genres a lot," explains producer Daniel Stephens, "but for NERO it's never been about any genres. It's about electronic music, and it's about us." And their latest album Between II Worlds is exactly as genre dexterous as the band claims, taking in influences of classical, rave, drum'n'bass, dubstep and pop.

True masters of their craft, NERO have long pushed the boundaries of what an electronic producer is, most notably in their collaboration with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra Dubstep Symphony, as well as with single Into the Past, a contribution to Baz Lurhmann's Great Gatsby soundtrack, and Follow Me for British mega band Muse, which later became the theme song for film World War Z.

NERO are the golden standard in electronic music, and the hungry Australian masses will be treated to the set that has seen this force du jour rise to the top when they return this December. Tickets on sale Thursday 29 September.
