Glenmaggie Blues & Roots Festival
The inaugural Glenmaggie Blues & Roots Festival will be held at the Glenmaggie Hall in the open air on Sunday 15 March 2015. This is an all-ages, all-weather event with full bar facilities and food available.

Funds generated will assist in the continual restoration and upkeep of the Glenmaggie Mechanics' Institute - Glenmaggie Hall. The historic Glenmaggie Mechanics' Institute was built in 1890 primarily as a venue for dances. In 1919 it was moved 45 metres by jacks and draught horses to its present location - due to the construction of the Glenmaggie Weir and flooding of the township area. At the point of demolition in the 1970's, hardworking committees undertook renovations and improvements to the facilities.
Major achievements since then include re-roofing and re-stumping. The result is a beautiful example of Federation architecture which is also a very useful and popular community building.
