In the last two years Georgia Spain has gone from fearfully playing mid week open mic's to playing Port Fairy Folk Festival, Aus Music Festival and venues such as the National Gallery of Victoria, and has now reached the release of her debut EP 'Precious Company'. She delivers her songs with an emotional intensity that connects her with her audience and the rawness of each performance is building her reputation as a must-see performer.

After spending the early part of the year travelling in the USA; visiting Townes Van Zandt's grave and playing banjo in bars where Bob Dylan hung out, her arrival home came with the readiness to make an album, which soon became condensed to a six track EP.

Recorded on just one day in late May, in Campbell's Creek at Sound Recordings studio by Alex Bennett on 100% analogue equipment, 'Precious Company' has now arrived on wax.

The 6 songs were each tracked in a couple of takes and have since been untouched. What you hear is exactly as it were played. Because of the nature of live recording there is nothing to 'hide behind', so to speak - no reverb, no added effects, no mastering.

Here is a first EP in its most honest, vulnerable form.

'Precious Company' will be released through Sound Recordings.
