Dave Eddy

'Festival of Delusion' is the latest project of Dave Eddy, a composer/musician who has lived in the New England region of New South Wales for the last two decades. He works as a professional musician teaching guitar and performing in various local bands.

Early influences include Hendrix and Young, but these were soon supplemented by artists such as Coltrane, Davis and Rypdal after a chance encounter with a presenter of Double J's ambient music programme. The development of new musical landscapes was enhanced by experimentations with electronics and offbeat music software, a process that began in the pre-internet days of the early 90s and continues to the present day.

Formal training includes an Honours Degree in Philosophy, where he developed an affinity for Continential Philosophy and it's concepts pertaining to Art, Science and Community.

Laszlo Szabo

Reared in Sydney's inner and western suburbs, a son of Hungarian refugee migrants, Laszlo began his 40 years in the creative industries as one of the First Wave of street performers in Sydney in the late 70's.

Studies in theatre & film at UNSW were followed by 10 yrs in the fringe and independent theatres of Sydney and Melbourne: as an actor, director, writer, producer, technician and teacher.

Since 1993 he's worked almost exclusively as a freelance community artist, teacher and mentor based in New England, with hundreds of community projects, events and ventures to his credit.

His work is multi-disciplinary, cross cultural and cross sectoral - always collaborative and lead by the needs of community, across northern NSW and also in the Pacific.

So head to Rad to catch them both, entry upon donation!
