A few years back, Farmer & The Owl kicked off it's label as a way to help push artists based or originating from our local area to get out beyond the local area. We first discovered our first ever signing, Hockey Dad playing the Rad Bar stage(floor) and are regularly at the venue to check out new local bands. Over the last couple of years we've noticed an increase in the number of great artists emerging through the local scene.

As a label our time is limited and we can't work with everyone we want to but we have used the Beached Friends compilations to showcase some of our favourite local artists. Now we are excited to launch what is essentially a live component to that. 'Yung Bloods' is a showcase of some of the best local artists we've come across live recently that will happen every few months.

To kick it off we have Archy Punker in the headline spot. We first heard the boys on 'Beached Friends Volume 2' and they've continued to gain momentum ever since. Totty have only come across our radar very recently but they have just released a really great debut single (check it out now via Triple J Unearthed). Grouse are another band that have just started to emerge locally and they are already quickly establishing themselves as one of the strongest live bands around. Space Boys have been kicking around for a while but they have really come into their own over the last few months, they combine really interesting songs with an intense live show. Opening up is Cheyne Howard, we first come across her as one half of Custom Sluts and we're excited to see where the solo project takes her.
