Since the release of their debut EP “Skyscrapers” in 2011, it has been a run of constant shows, interstate travel, international supports and a steady growth for Melbourne based 5-piece metal band Emerson. With the release of two singles “We Are The World” and “Sticks and Stones” in early 2013 and supporting bands such as Northlane, Oh Sleeper, First Blood, Bleeding Through and Attila, Emerson has been hard at work behind the scenes between shows writing for a new release, and with all this came “Abhorrence”. The seven-track release due to drop mid-September is Emerson’s best work yet, with the band focusing on musicianship and further developing the bands sound resulting in an extremely diverse release and their heaviest work yet.
