DJ Yoda and Nick Thayer announce a special double headliner show at the Oxford Art Factory this coming February, 2013!

Oxford Art Factory and Soapbox Artists are proud to present DJ Yoda + Nick Thayer in an all out spectacular audio-visual extravaganza!

Duncan Beiny aka DJ Yoda is no ordinary scratch DJ. His seminal How To Cut & Paste series showcased a tongue-in-cheek mixing style that prompted Q Magazine to declare him "one of the ten DJs to see before you die", whilst Hip Hop Connection voted him "one of the top three DJs in the world."

From hip-hop beginnings, DJ Yoda has evolved in the past ten years, using his turntable skills and diverse influences, as varied as Funk, B-more, Kuduro, Reggae, Drum n Bass and even Big Band Swing and Country & Western, to make unashamed party music. He can be found cutting the Indiana
Jones theme with woofer-worrying Dubstep or The Muppet Theme with MIA. His shows are peppered with Film, TV and YouTube samples and visuals that lift his sets to new and stratospheric heights.

In his own words, Nick Thayer might be best described as "the musical equivalent of putting seven glowsticks in a blender". As renowned for uninhibited and unashamedly eclectic DJ sets as he is for impeccable production, Nick s cut-loose mentality is his trademark both in the club and in the studio. A hugely successful AV show in conjunction with visual artist sevenmilligram is another very special trick up Nick's sleeve. This show is like no other; it's a complete assault on the senses and needs to be seen
to be believed.

"Nick is one of the most versatile producers I know ... taking everything from house to drum and bass to moombahton and putting his own forward-thinking spin on it. Not genre bound, just music bound."
- Skrillex
