Daniel Merriweather is headed Sydney for a rare live show to showcase his spectacular talent in late August. With his sophomore album almost complete and slated for release in late 2014, Daniel will be performing a set of brand new songs for the first time as well as hits from his back catalogue.
A dual-ARIA Award winner, Daniel earned himself the reputation as one of the leaders of the burgeoning new soul movement in Australia, with smash hits like 'Change' and 'Red' (which both cracked the top 5 on the UK singles chart), taken from his amazing 2009 debut album 'Love & War' (#2 on the UK album chart). He also hit the #2 spot on the UK singles chart with his huge Mark Ronson collaboration 'Stop Me', a cover of The Smiths' 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before'. This intimate show will be the first opportunity for fans to hear his new material.
Daniel has collaborated with some of the biggest names in contemporary soul, from his regular accomplice Mark Ronson to the likes of Adele, The Bamboos and the late Amy Winehouse.
Daniel will be playing a one-off intimate show with his five-piece band on Friday 29th August at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney. Do not miss it.
