British India emerged from the Melbourne underground in 2007 with their critically acclaimed debut long-player Guillotine. The album spawned the hits Black & White Radio, Tie Up My Hands and Run The Red Light and won the band the AIR Award for Best New Independent Artist.
 
The band's subsequent albums enjoyed even greater success. I Said I'm Sorry heralded the arrival of Thieves in 2008, which claimed the #5 spot on the ARIA Album chart and secured them 2 ARIA nominations for 'Best Independent Release' and best producer. 'Vanilla' led the way for Avalanche in 2010 the band's 2nd Aria Top 10 ARIA debut.
 
British India turned a new corner in their career in 2012 British India and signed to Liberation Records and Mushroom Music. Their 4th album 'Controller' released in 2013 saw the band achieve their 3rd consecutive Top 10 debut. 'I Can Make You Love Me' became the band's most successful single to date and achieved gold status.
 
British India recently returned from Berlin where they recorded tracks for their new album due for release in February 2015. British India have built a strong loyal fan base around Australia and are respected for their willingness to take their high octane rock & roll show to rural towns in Australia. They are currently touring their latest single 'Wrong Direction' and were handpicked to play with The Rolling Stones to perform on their '14 On Fire Tour' 2014.
