Melbourne Melodist Ainslie Wills launches her debut album 'You go your way, I'll go mine' with a national tour!

Duetting with rapper 360 on SBS's Rockwiz was something that Melbourne - melodist Ainslie Wills could never have predicted.

2012 proved advantageous in other way's for the singer who released and toured two singles in anticipation of her forthcoming album 'You go your way, I'll go mine' (Out March 4th 2013).

The first single 'Fighting Kind', radio PBS Homebrew single of the year and overall winner of the Catapult songwriting competition, was also made 'Catch of the day' by Zan Rowe at triple j and was given a hefty nod by Frankie Mag who dramatically named Wills their 'musical saviour.'

Following up on the promise of 2010 EP Somebody For Everyone, You Go Your Way, I'll Go Mine is 12 tracks of textured, atmospheric storytelling: spiky, warm pop ("Fighting Kind", "Stop Pulling The String"), jazzy synth odes to love (single "Weighing The Promises"), guitar swells and crescendos ("Ocean"), soulful promises of sunnier days ahead ("Early Morning Light"). Focused but never formal, it's an album steeped in honesty - and a sound Ainslie's own.

With its title lifted from 1969 flick Hello, Dolly!, on You Go Your Way, I'll Go Mine there's no mistaking Ainslie's charismatic melodies, and her jazz-styled throat. The singer (who earned a nod in the 2012 EG Awards 'Outstanding Achievement By A Victorian Artist' category) penned six tracks off You Go Your Way, I'll Go Minewith guitarist/co-producer Lawrence Folvig.

You Go Your Way, I'll Go Mine's best moments deliver intimacy and patience - unvarnished answers to unspoken questions. Cinematic in scope and closely felt, this is an album worth waiting for.

Ainslie and her audacious band will be embarking on a national tour in April including a show at

THE METRO HOTEL with special guests to be announced.

'Oh lordy. We have just found our musical saviour. An antidote to the ordinary, Ainslie Wills' voice has us utterly captivated' Georgia Francis King - Frankie Mag
