Who are ACO Underground? Electro-acoustic collective ACO Underground, now represented by indie music agent Artist Voice, perform a wild mix of music with set-lists that stretch from Radiohead to Bach and Vivaldi all under the direction of founder, curator and front-woman Satu Vanska, an internationally renowned violinist and a singer.

ACO Underground's eclectic gigs feature musicians from "badass classical band" (Time Out New York) the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) and specially curated guests. Their debut earlier this year sold out quickly, garnering audience and critical acclaim for the genre-bending performance. Keeping true to the band's underground vibe, they performed in an old porn theatre in Slovenia as part of Festival Maribor in September.

Sunday 2 December
On Sun 2 Dec, ACO Underground is joined by a host of specially curated guests including bass guitarist Brian Richie (Violent Femmes), guitarist Jim Moginie (Midnight Oil), Tawadros Brothers (Joe & James) and more special guest artists yet to be announced. This one-night-only gig at New York-loft-style music venue The Standard features music from David Bowie and REM to Paganini, Bach and Shostakovich. Front-woman Satu Vanska made headlines across Australia last year when she was given a $2 million Stradivarius violin, which she will play in this concert.

Opening support act
Renowned surf cinematographer and visual artist Jon Frank has put together an audio-visual installation which will be projected onto the walls of The Standard before the gig. Awe-inspiring footage is paired with specially chosen audio featuring a montage of Frank's work.
