Indie rock kings British India will hit the road this April in support of their new and fifth album release, Nothing Touches Me.

One of the nation's most exciting live bands with over 600 gigs to their name, British India's extensive 18 date tour launches in Alice Springs on April 16 and concludes in the band's home state of Victoria on May 30. In between, the boys will traverse hundreds of kilometres, from Darwin in the north down to Hobart in the south.

Joining British India on the national tour will be Adelaide's punk exponents Grenadiers - recent triple J feature stars - along with emerging Perth four-piece Tired Lion. Tennant Creek's favourite sons Unbroken Expanse will provide support for the Alice Springs and Darwin shows.

"We're looking forward to releasing and touring our new album. We like taking bands on the road who challenge us to step up, which is why we're taking Grenadiers and Tired Lion, they're both blistering live bands. Unbroken Expanse are buddies of our from NT, a real force to behold and the ultimate party band. It's going to be a great tour!" - Declan Melia.

The band's fifth album, Nothing Touches Me, is due for release on March 13. Featuring lead single 'Wrong Direction' and new single 'Suddenly', Nothing Touches Me carries on from British India's forward momentum of fourth album Controller and bristles with all the energy and urgency of the band's famed early singles, while further exploring the expanded ambitions of its predecessor. Already being talked of as the band's best album to date, it is set to elevate them into the ranks of the great Australian rock n roll groups.
