THE ESPY BASEMENT
Young Henrys Live at The Espy Basement - featuring the best local and emerging acts every Thursday
The Maggie Pills are a Melbourne band with multiple origins (incl. Venezuela and Argentina).
They create a 90s post-punk mind space, spitting their anger with sensitivity and care.
Their music leans on a tense shoegaze-punk tendency, influenced by acts like Pixies and Metric.
With two EPs and many singles, the band is releasing their first studio album in late 2022.
Their sets are fast and intense but always intimate, and spirited by the 90s indie/alternative movement and the freedom of punk.
With support from Tommy Dynamite & The Explosions.
