Welcoming very special guests:

- Body Type

Rising Sydney-based "trash can girl band" Body Type return today with 'Uma', the centrepiece and an incidental anthem found in EP2 full of abstract symbolism, religious iconography and terrifying animal imagery. It comes accompanied by a suitably cathartic video directed by LA artist, musician and director Charlotte Linden Ercoli Coe (Charles, Weyes Blood, Pavo Pavo) and the announcement of a national headline tour this winter - watch the video HERE and see dates and details below.

Speaking of the track, Body Type's Georgia Wilkinson Derums calls it, "a slightly skewed love song to Uma Thurman. During the Me Too movement I watched the exposed footage of Thurman's car crash on the Kill Bill set. It was leaked years after the film was released with Tarantino claiming he was deeply regretful of forcing his lead actor to drive in an unsafe vehicle. I just thought it was an uncanny fictional retelling of what was actually playing out around the world... A rallying cry in support of women like Eryn Jean Norvill who continue to call to account the powerful."

'Uma' is the third track lifted from EP2 coming hot on the heels of 'Stingray' and 'Free To Air', and follows the bands debut self-titled EP in 2018. Consisting of radio favourites 'Ludlow (Do You Believe In Karma?)', 'Arrow', 'Palms' and 'Teeth', the release received critical acclaim from the likes of the FADER, DIY, NME, KEXP, Beats 1's Matt Wilkinson, BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders, triple j's Declan Byrne and more. On the day of its release, Body Type will take to the iconic BBC Maida Vale Studios for their very own live session.

Body Type are fresh off their first-ever trip to the US, having played SXSW and their first headline shows in the States. In Australia they've toured with POND, Alex Cameron, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever,Japandroids, Frankie Cosmos, Big Thief, Ariel Pink + more. The band head to the UK for their first shows in Europe, including slots at Live At Leeds, Hit the North and Great Escape festivals, as well as a headline London date at Moth Club. Shortly after the band will play on home soil to their biggest rooms yet in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. Playing alongside Body Type will be Catalano and Cloud Tangle in Brisbane, Bitch Diesel and more special guests in Melbourne, Dream Dog and The Buoys in Sydney, Saint Jacques and Dead Roo in Adelaide and Haircare and Hyclass in Fremantle.

Along with the digital release of the EP, the band will be releasing a double-sided 12" for the first time, featuring EP1 on Side A & EP2 on Side B - it's out June 28th on Partisan/Inertia. Pre-order it here.

- Pinch Points

Melbourne post-punk outfit PINCH POINTS play clean, angular guitar harmonies and heavy biomechanical riffs, belting-out group-vocals, all at a turbo-punk speed. J. Edward Keyes of Bandcamp Daily described their sound as "a barbed-wire coil of sound that's as loose and springy as it is dangerously serrated."

Despite only having started gigging in May of 2018, PINCH POINTS are like a well oiled machine. They dropped their debut EP 'MECHANICAL INJURY' on cassette in July through Roolette Records, which ended up being 1 of 4 albums included in Bandcamp's 'Best 100 releases of 2018', as well as getting an EU release through French label Six Tonnes de Chair.

2019 will see the band release their LP 'MOVING PARTS' on May 31.

- Harley Mavis

From the hairbrush-microphone afternoons spent in her bedroom belting out every song of Missy Higgins when she was just a little small-town girl with big dreams, Harley Mavis has drawn from her roots and created her own unique combination of cruisy folk-rock. Stemming largely from her all female-power-ballad influences, Harley presents a show of stellar songwriting - with heartbreaking lyrics, driving choruses and a unique understanding of her surroundings.
Distinct in her rich vocals and her bright, outlandish choice of colours, you'll be hearing a lot more from this atmospheric rock chick now hailing from Sydney's inner-west...(and you don't even realise you want to yet).

- Husband Wants A Wife

Husband wants a wife (HWAW) are a four piece indie surf/rock band from Wollongong, NSW, Australia. Created from an impromptu jam between mates they have now evolved into a fully fledged project. With influences such as Hockey Dad, Remo drive and Wavves, HWAW are no strangers to delivering fully energised live sets and creating a wild atmosphere.
