Going Steady Music, ThreeD Radio and Crown & Anchor Hotel Presents:

Wintersteady: Modulation

Back for the third year, Wintersteady is going back to its roots and presenting a smaller, more intimate event showcasing a handful of amazing artists from Adelaide and Interstate. We are proud to announce that on Saturday 21 July 2018 at the Crown & Anchor Hotel you will experience the sight and sounds of:

Sacred Shrines (QLD)
Psych/Garage cult Sacred Shrines played their first show in March 2014, launching their debut 7 inch at the same time. During their brief tenure, they have shared stages with The Dandy Warhols, The Upside Down, The Demon Parade, Flyying Colours, Tumbleweed, The Murlocs, ORB, Dreamtime and many more. The band released their debut album in July 2016, with tracks mixed by Brett Orrison (The Black Angels), Michael Badger (King Gizzard & The Lizzard Wizzard, Demon Parade) and Liam Judson (Cloud Control, The Laurels). Before the dust has even had a chance to settle on their debut album, Sacred Shrines return with a 6 track follow-up EP entitled TRAIL TO FIND. The release is a collection of new songs combined with some previously unreleased favourites and is a step into wilder terrain for the band, whilst retaining some of the hazy, psych-pop palette of their debut LP. The EP was recorded with Producer/Engineer Dan James, a familiar face in the Sacred Shrines family, with tracks mixed mostly by Michael Badger (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Demon Parade) with further tracks by Donovan Miller (FOREVR) and Dan James (Drawn From Bees). TRAIL TO FIND is a continuation of the musical mantra the band have been carving from their collective hive-mind since their inception in 2014, and is another heady collection of cosmic sounds and diverse songwriting that will further propel the band towards the far-out reaches of their own musical landscape.

Battlehounds (SA/VIC)
Adelaide's Battlehounds were born in a beer soaked share house in 2013 where Alex, Dale and Andrew bonded over a love of Black Sabbath, Dead Meadow and The Stooges. After almost 12 months of partial hibernation, playing select supports with bands like The Peep Tempel, Bad//Dreems, Harts and Dune Rats, Adelaide's Battlehounds are finally returning to Adelaide to perform at Wintersteady: Modulation.

Faraday Waves
A rock quintet simply hoping to connect with your frontal lobe and put a stomp in your boots. We go in for a bit of science, some philosophy and a pinch of magik. We're still figuring out the lay of the land but can't wait to make new friends at home and away.

OKO
3 piece psych rock from ADL.

Butterfly Spine
Butterfly Spine are a duo that draw from a mixture of genres such as Darkwave, Newwave, Goth, Pop, Electronic and Dance.

As always, we have a selection of your favorite Three D Radio presenters spinning tunes in the front bar all night, as well as your usual drink specials. Make it a night, and head upstairs for some Midnight Spaghetti first!

Previous years have always sold out, so secure your ticket now!
