The remarkable trajectory of WILLIAM CRIGHTON has continued in 2019.

After gracing some of the most revered festival stages in Australia, UK, Denmark and Canada over the last 12 months, Crighton returns to Australia in October to perform a short run of highly anticipated headline shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and his homebase of the Hunter Valley at the Dashville Skyline festival.

As this announcement hits, Crighton will head out on his second international tour for the year, this time to Scandinavia playing Tönder Festival alongside a run of shows throughout Denmark and Sweden.

Earlier this year, he was in the UK for a string of festivals. Fortuitously it was the stop-over in Canada where he had the chance to meet up with long time hero Neil Young, whilst performing main stage at Winnipeg Folk Festival.

A purveyor of dark and searing Australiana, his arresting live shows go on from strength to strength. Expect new material and a mix of favourites from both albums when the band perform this October.

"Empire, has been acclaimed for its visceral mix of wired folk, gospel invocation, and rock'n'roll sparks (Sydney Morning Herald). And Crighton’s self titled debut for its startling raw delivery and intensity." - Courier Mail

These will be William Crighton’s only headlining full band shows this year, travelling with the aptly named FAMILY BAND featuring wife Julieanne Crighton, brother Luke Crighton, long-time drummer Reuben Alexander and special guest William Barton, widely recognised as one of Australia's leading didgeridoo players and composers.

Joining William on her debut visit to Australia is Irish singer-songwriter AMY MONTGOMERY, a phenomenal emerging talent who commands attention. With a Bohemian aesthetic and a voice that channels Janis Joplin and Grace Slick, Montgomery recently played the Black Deer Festival in the UK and wowed audiences at Glastonbury Festival, which has resulted in a plethora of festival invitations worldwide.

“Astounding voice alert, Amy is a great sonic explorer in the tradition of Janis Joplin and John Martyn” – BBC NI Across The Line

Joining this show will be Brisbane songwriter, Paddy McHugh and also fascinating Hunter Valley newcomer AHLIA WILLIAMS.

MONTGOMERY, CRIGHTON, McHUGH and WILLIAMS will be a heady mix and a truly captivating show.
