Wanderers & Tommy Sexton
WANDERERS
Stepping into a new creative domain in recent years, with their unique blend of soul and rock, Wanderers are harmonically strong and rich in melodies that give an energy akin to bands such as Parcels and Vulfpeck. With an energetic live show, they've shared the stage with the likes of Gang of Youths, Middle Kids, Cory Henry (USA), Calexico (USA) and Angus and Julia Stone.
From Adelaide, South Australia (Kaurna Yerta), Wanderers have been a recurring favourite in the Australian music scene.
“The crowd was feeling the love and giving it back in spades." - The Music
Wanderers have recently come off Woodford Folk Festival and have been working in back lines to bring new music out to the world in 2024, to leave an undeniable footprint on Australian music.
“Wanderers have composed another irresistible genre-defying gem here, with driving beats and skilfully layered tunes drawing from funk, soul and pop influences.” - the au review
TOMMY SEXTON
The sonic lovechild of Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan, Tommy straddles soul, disco funk and post-apocalyptic yacht rock as smooth as he slips into his silk purple robes or well ironed buttoned shirt and suit pants.
