An exquisite interweaving of voices and imagery in an Antarctic odyssey - haunting and heart-warming
Various People Inc's new work celebrates the courage of Douglas Mawson and his Antarctic expeditioners, and of all those who strive in the face of challenge. Unaccompanied voices soar and intertwine in music by Richard Chew, Jodie O’Regan and Anne Cawrse. The music is interwoven with fragments of memories and experiences, the sounds of wind and ice – and the whole is immersed in a stunning Antarctic videoscape.
