Urban Youth x NO NO NO NO NO x Throwaway
An evening of non-stop hooks in Adelaide's CBD.
What's better than a summer's evening spent in the Exeter hotel's beer garden? Urban Youth, NO NO NO NO NO, and Don't Bring Stacey providing the soundtrack - that's what! Three phenomenal young bands on one short and sweet line up, you're certain to hear your new favourite song if you find yourself here.
Urban Youth have developed their own distinctive co-lead vocal dynamic that blends in seamlessly amongst layers of thick fuzz and reverb. Their debut single ‘Origami’ has garnered much support and favourable reaction since its release in October 2018, as well as frequent rotation on local radio stations such as Three D Radio and Radio Adelaide. 2019 saw the band support established interstate acts We All Want To (BRIS), Straight Arrows (SYD) and Clove (MELB).
A three-piece hard rock/metal band whose music can get people dancing one second and moshing the next. Mixing hard hitting guitar riffs like a jackhammer gone rogue, and soaring vocal melodies. Throwaway was formed back in 2015 spearheaded by Zak Kerrison, lead vocalist and guitarist, Adrian Emili on backing vocals and bass, and Bailey O’Brien doing his best on the drums. But has since evolved into much more.
"Holy HELL this is so good! Hits every point it should, sounds original, and every melody and riff just sings".
"Wow, punk-rock hardcore goodness. I think YES YES YES YES YES".
No No No No No is the sound of four guys from different corners of Australia, coming together in Adelaide to write the soundtrack to your summer. Heavy like The Amity Affliction, catchy like Weezer; NX5 has only one goal in mind: to marry radio pop hooks with grimy punk rock aesthetics.
