UniSA’s Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environments (IVE) is delighted to collaborate with the Light Adelaide's IMMERSE festival to showcase the latest in the fusion of Augmented Reality (VR/AR) with the creative arts.
 
 During these free sessions, Prof Mark Billinghurst, Deputy Director of IVE, will deliver two 2-hour workshops on one of the most commonly utilised AR tools in the creative arts: Lens Studio by Snapchat (https://lensstudio.snapchat.com/). 

Following each workshop, PhD students from UniSA will work with individual or groups of artists to put their skills and creative to the test using Lens Studio, in the form of a hackathon.  

All AR lenses submitted by Saturday the 13th at 3pm will go into the running to be awarded one of the best designs of the festival - with winning entries showcased during the remaining weeks of IMMERSE. 

Registrations are limited - so please book early to avoid missing out.  Participating artists will simply need to bring themselves, their ideas and laptops, and will be provided with a space to work and expert tuition on the use of the Lens Studio, with on-tap support from PhD students from UniSA.
