Uncle Gus and The Rimshots are Hobart’s newest (and quite possibly, Hobart’s youngest) swing/jive band. Along with their own original tunes and arrangements of popular songs, Uncle Gus and the Rimshots play the music of the swing/jive greats like Louis Jordan, Louis Prima and Bull Moose Jackson whilst putting their own spin on more modern songs by swing revival bands like The Brian Setzer Orchestra and The Cherry Poppin Daddies. With a cookin’ rhythm section that will get everyone singing and dancing along to the swing hits of yesterday and today.
