'Watch You Go', a heart-wrenching and deeply personal song, is a loving tribute to his late father Rikki Organ, who tragically lost his battle with cancer and passed away in November 2016. Tyne penned many songs over the last twelve months as an emotional release for dealing with his loss and grief.
"This song means everything to me. Throughout writing, I never imagined anyone else would ever hear it. It wasn't something that I wrote with any intent other than releasing the pain of loss I've felt. So for it to be out in the world feels strange and incredible at the same time."
Matching the emotional intensity of the song with the video was important for Tyne."I wanted to allow anyone to take the song the way they want to. The indoor scenes show the raw emotion and letting it out through playing. The idea behind the rain came from symbolising emotion through water. Almost seeing a sense of emptiness when the song finishes and the rain stops. It's all suddenly gone, just like that. From loss, to love, to everything in between. This is something that I hope people can relate to and take something from."
